IHPEM is a church without walls, but within a church without walls there are still times when a home is needed. Lauren's Call wants to have a free store, as a place to provided clothing for people who have a need, and job training for people with low incident disabilities. We also want to help people who need a temporary place to stay, without having to break up the family into men's and women's dorm type shelters.

It is a tall order and one we are taking in small steps right now. We would like to start with a small multifamily unit with space for a free store. We are in the prayer and research stage right now. Our focus will start in central Indiana; the Indy far Westside (Hendricks County).

Sherry has 20 years or more of retail management, and contact in a few large retail shops. Tim is a jack-of-all-trades-handyman as well as a computer tech. It is not a far fetched idea that they would manage a free store for clothing. It is an excellent environment to teach needed skills. Although no money will change hands, the clothes will need to be inspected, inventoried, stored, and displayed, and customers will need helped with matching colors, styles, and the right outfit for the right event.

In addition to the free store, Lauren’s Call would like to provide a place where young adults with disabilities can interact socially in a Christian environment. There would be Bible studies, worship services, and fellowship socials where everyone would get a chance to serve and to be served. Lauren’s Call is a Christ minded social organization with a mission. We need support form parents and from people who want to be apart of the dream, as it comes true.
